A faux palm tree centerpiece made from stacked pineapples twinkles with festive lights. At the main table, clove-studded mandarin orange pomanders and cinnamon scented pine cones top balsam fir sprigs. Waves of mouth-watering aromas drift towards them.
Finally, they motion to everyone. Dad claps his hands, rubbing them together:
“Come on, kids…let’s eat!”
